During production, empty barrels first enter the film-cutting and cap-removal machine. Returned barrels typically feature an outer dust-proof film and an old cap; this machine automatically cuts away residual film and removes the cap, replacing manual labor and minimizing contamination risks associated with human contact.
After cap removal, the empty barrels are conveyed to the external washer. Here, a combination of rotating brushes and high-pressure sprays thoroughly cleans the exterior, removing dust, algae, and stains.
Next, the barrels enter the fully automatic 3-in-1 main unit-the heart of the production line-which integrates internal rinsing and disinfection, volumetric filling, and capping/sealing. Constructed from food-grade 304 stainless steel, the unit is resistant to water and disinfectant corrosion, facilitating easy daily cleaning. It features a barrel-inversion spray design and a multi-stage rinsing process using both sanitizing agents and circulating purified water to effectively eliminate microorganisms on the inner walls. Filling is managed via flow-based volumetric control, ensuring stable output and precise fill volumes. Once filled, caps are automatically fed and pressed on, creating a tight seal that effectively prevents secondary contamination. The system is equipped with a PLC touchscreen interface allowing for direct adjustment of production speed, rinsing duration, and filling parameters; it is user-friendly and includes automatic shutdown protection for issues like barrel jams or shortages, thereby reducing the risk of equipment damage.

After filling and capping, the water barrels move to the inspection light station. Operators carefully inspect the interior of the barrels under backlit lamps to detect foreign objects, turbidity, or impurities, removing substandard units early in the process. This quality control step ensures that every barrel delivered to the customer meets drinking water standards. Approved barrels proceed to the heat-shrink labeling machine, where a label film is applied over the cap; heat (via hot air or steam) causes the film to shrink uniformly and fit snugly against the cap, providing dust protection and anti-counterfeiting features while enhancing the product's visual appeal. The production date is then printed on the cap, and the barrel enters the bagging machine, which automatically encases it in a protective bag. This safeguards the barrel body against scratches and dust during handling, storage, and transport, completing the entire production process.
The entire 5 gallon water filling line is interconnected by conveyor chains with synchronized equipment operation, eliminating the need for manual handling or transfer between stages; only 1–2 personnel are required for monitoring and inspection, effectively reducing labor costs. Production capacity can be tailored to customer needs, accommodating everything from small-scale plants to large-scale operations, and is suitable for various water types, including purified water, mountain spring water, and mineral water.

All components of the Foren 5 gallon water filling line that come into contact with water or barrels are made of food-grade stainless steel. The piping layout is streamlined to prevent dirt accumulation and facilitate easy cleaning and disinfection, meeting requirements for drinking water production certification (QS). The process is fully enclosed, minimizing the exposure of empty barrels and finished product to the air and reducing the risk of microbial contamination.
The main filling unit features centralized PLC control and a touchscreen HMI, allowing for one-touch parameter settings. The system automatically triggers alarms and halts operations in the event of missing barrels, jams, or malfunctions. Operators can become proficient with minimal training, thereby reducing quality issues caused by human error.
The equipment structure has been optimized through extensive field use, featuring robust wear-resistant components and a low failure rate. Designed with accessible maintenance points, the system allows for easy disassembly of piping, pumps, and valves, simplifying routine upkeep and minimizing downtime.
This 5 gallon water filling line allows for the addition of equipment such as coding machines and palletizers as needed. The equipment layout can also be adjusted to suit the size and configuration of the facility, ensuring compatibility with various workshop layouts.

Foren provides a comprehensive, one-stop service that includes solution planning, workshop layout recommendations, equipment manufacturing, and on-site installation and commissioning. Equipment undergoes pre-delivery testing; upon arrival at the customer's site, engineers handle installation, wiring, and integrated system commissioning. Free on-site training is also provided, covering equipment operation, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
The equipment comes with a full-machine warranty, covering free replacement of parts damaged through normal use (excluding human-induced damage), along with lifetime technical support. Rapid remote troubleshooting via video is available to resolve production issues quickly, while engineers provide on-site repairs for complex problems that cannot be resolved remotely. We ensure a long-term supply of genuine spare parts, eliminating future procurement difficulties. Additionally, we conduct regular follow-ups to remind customers of maintenance requirements and help ensure the long-term, stable operation of the production line.
