At its core, the UF skid utilizes PVDF hollow-fiber ultrafiltration membrane elements with a pore size of 0.01–0.1 microns. Relying on the principle of physical size exclusion, it efficiently removes suspended solids, sediment, and colloids from raw water without requiring significant chemical dosing. The purified effluent maintains a stable turbidity of less than 0.2 NTU, ensuring consistent water clarity unaffected by minor fluctuations in raw water turbidity. This system is suitable for purifying surface water or groundwater into potable water and serves as an effective pre-treatment stage for RO systems, protecting downstream RO membranes, reducing fouling loads, and extending membrane service life.
The unit features an integrated skid-mounted design with all components standardized and assembled at the factory. Compared to traditional systems assembled piecemeal on-site, this approach drastically shortens the construction schedule, eliminates extensive civil works, on-site welding, and complex piping connections, thereby reducing overall project costs. The compact skid structure minimizes the equipment's footprint, while the base includes designated points for forklifts and lifting gear, facilitating whole-unit lifting, handling, and containerized transport-making it ideal for overseas projects, temporary field water supplies, and decentralized water supply stations.
The UF skid is equipped with an intelligent control system and integrates monitoring instruments-such as pressure gauges, flow meters, and online turbidity analyzers-to collect and display equipment operating parameters in real time. The system enables fully automated, continuous water production and features scheduled automatic backwashing; an air-water mixture scrubbing process dislodges trapped contaminants from the membrane surface, delaying fouling. An integrated chemical cleaning unit allows for online chemical cleaning when membrane flux declines, rapidly restoring filtration performance and reducing manual maintenance requirements. With built-in protection against abnormal pressure and fault alarm functions, the system operates safely and reliably, meeting the demands of continuous industrial production. The equipment configuration can be customized based on the client's raw water quality, and the treatment flow rate is flexibly adjustable. Its modular design allows for future capacity expansion by connecting multiple skid-mounted units in parallel, eliminating the need to dismantle existing equipment during phased project construction. Frames and piping are available in 304 or 316 stainless steel, offering resistance to acid and alkali corrosion and making the system suitable for diverse and demanding applications-such as food and beverage processing, mining, reclaimed water reuse, centralized rural water supply, and river water purification. Whether for new water treatment plants, the upgrading of aging water supply systems, or industrial reclaimed water and advanced wastewater treatment, these UF skids deliver stable and reliable water purification solutions.
