In industrial water purification, pure water production, and reclaimed water reuse projects, ultra filtration systems, as core physical separation units, are often used as pretreatment for reverse osmosis (RO). They can also be used independently for water supply purification and wastewater recovery. Relying on membrane micropore sieving to achieve water purification, they do not depend on large amounts of chemical reagents and are suitable for various water source conditions, including surface water, groundwater, industrial wastewater, and reclaimed water.
The ultra filtration system's membrane pore size is at the 0.01μm level, physically removing suspended solids, colloids, bacteria, algae, and large molecular organic matter from the water. Bacterial removal rates can reach over 99.99%; effluent turbidity is consistently ≤0.1NTU, and the SDI fouling index is consistently reduced to below 2, providing high-quality feed water for the downstream reverse osmosis system and avoiding the rapid flux decline of RO membranes caused by colloidal fouling.
Furthermore, the ultra filtration systems produced at the Foren factory utilize modified hydrophilic PVDF external pressure hollow fiber membrane modules, which are resistant to acids and alkalis, as well as sodium hypochlorite chemical cleaning, and have a wide pH tolerance range.
The complete ultra filtration system includes membrane modules, booster pumps, backwashing systems, chemical cleaning units, piping and valve assemblies, and a PLC automatic control system. The frame and piping are made of 304/316 stainless steel, providing corrosion and rust resistance, and are suitable for humid workshops and outdoor installation environments.
The Foren factory adopts standardized modular production requirements, allowing for customized processing capacities, ranging from small units with hourly rates to large-scale complete systems. Future expansion only requires adding membrane modules, eliminating the need for large-scale civil engineering modifications, and requiring less floor space compared to traditional sedimentation and sand filtration processes.
The equipment is equipped with a PLC intelligent control system, enabling automatic execution of filtration, backwashing, air wiping, and chemical cleaning; real-time monitoring of key parameters such as permeate flow rate, transmembrane pressure differential, and turbidity, with alarm prompts for abnormal conditions.
Simple to operate, requiring no dedicated personnel for 24-hour monitoring; the chemical cleaning cycle depends on the actual water quality. Under proper pretreatment conditions, chemical cleaning is generally performed every 1-4 months, reducing labor and chemical consumption.
Stable operation of an ultra filtration system relies on proper pretreatment. Excessive influent turbidity, iron, manganese, and residual chlorine can accelerate membrane fouling, causing irreversible damage in severe cases. When the raw water quality is poor, multi-media filtration and self-cleaning filters are required to ensure the membrane module's lifespan. Under standardized operation and maintenance conditions, the membrane module is designed for a lifespan of 3-5 years, with actual lifespan directly related to influent water quality and operational management.
